Too. Much. Fun.

This weekend was fantastic! I went down to Charleston to spend some girl time. We had too much fun! Visiting Charleston this weekend made me realize how much I miss it (and the people that live there)! Maybe one day we'll end up living back down there...

eating lunch on a boardwalk by the beach. good sushi. appletini's. dancing. late nights. recovering on the beach. mexican food. lounging around. coffee at Kudu, one of my favorite coffee shops downtown.

That pretty much sums up the weekend!

Take My Virginity Please!

I am ready to no longer be a 'Property Virgin'!

Russell and I have been house hunting for about 4 months now. I never realized how stressful it is! When you think of buying your first home you think of how exciting it's going to be to decorate and start your new life in that home. Well...not so much! You have to consider the mortgage, the interest rates, the property tax and not to mention the price of furniture to go INSIDE the home (although this part is exciting for me)! It's hard trying to find the perfect place. We're looking for a craftsman style bungalow that was built around the 30's.  We love this style house and are determined to find one that's perfect for us :)

It's been waaay too long since my last post. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had much time to sit down and blog about anything.

It's a beautiful weekend here in Charlotte! The high today is suppose to be 86°. I love exploring this city on beautiful days like this. There are so many litte nooks in Charlotte.

This morning we're enjoying some muffins and coffee for breakfast :)

This afternoon, we're going to view some houses! We're trying to buy-but haven't had the best of luck yet.

Tonight, we're going to dinner at Copper. It's an Indian restaurant here in Charlotte that we've been wanting to try for a long time now. Can't wait for some good Indian Cuisine!

Chill Out

I need decompression. I am always on the go during the week (and practically every weekend). I never have time to sit down and mellow out. It's work, gym, dinner, shower, prep for the next day and....Repeat. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the hustle and bustle. I appreciate the industrious life I live, but I also appreciate the times I have to chill out as well. Life is so fast. Will it ever slow down? I assume only when I slow down....

 It's here in Charlotte and they give the most amazing massages! One thing I love about this place that will keep me coming back is that they have the most soothing atmosphere. It's a tea bar as well so you can enjoy hot tea before or after your relaxation therapy. I definitely need to go back there again when I have the chance.

My Weekend.

This weekend I went to a bridal shower for my best friend Alisha. She's getting married in August and will be a beautiful bride! I also got to see Britt and Jenn which was a huge bonus! Love my friends :)

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother! She's the most amazing woman I know and I hope one day I can be half the mother she's been to me. Love you mom! 

Russell's 25

That's my husband! Today he turned 25 years old. It's crazy to think that i've known him for a decade now. He's definitely not the same person as he was 10 years ago. I am so thankful for him. He treats me like gold and I wonder every day how I ended up so lucky?! I got him a present he's been wanting for awhile but hasn't bought for himself. We went to dinner at this restaurant here in Uptown Charlotte called Mimosa Grill. Overall, it was a very laid back yet wonderful birthday for him, but it's still not over yet ;)

The Royal Wedding (at Belk)

My company (Belk, department store) showed the Royal Wedding for us last Friday on the big screen during business hours. It was awesome. They had everyone dress up in their best London inspired attire. I wasn't too keen on participating so all the girls in my office borrowed samples dresses from the junior department and changed into them for the event. They had wedding cake and gave a blue sapphire ring away to the best dressed!
